Are You Suddenly Seeing God Everywhere?

Are you suddenly seeing God everywhere?  Hearing his name in conversations? Seeing Jesus on Billboards?  That is the Holy Spirit calling you.  He is bringing himself to your awareness, so you have another opportunity to make a choice.

Why do people reject God?
Some people reject God because they like the darkness.  They enjoy iniquity and they do not believe there will be any eternal consequences for them.  Most other people reject God because of hurt.  God is our Father and is the model of how earthly fathers should be: loving, patient, kind, and yet correct us when we are wrong.  However, many people have not a had a godly father.  Their father was neglectful, abusive, or let them down; so, they reject God the Father.

Other people reject God because he didn’t meet their expectations earlier in life.  God must not be real, or he would not have let this happen.   God must not be real because he did not do this for me.

Why would God care?
God is looking for a family.  The whole story of the Bible is God’s plan to find a family, provide redemption for his children, and a path back to him.  Real love is a voluntary choice.  If man loved God because he had no other choice, that love wouldn’t have any meaning.  God gives us a choice.  Therefore; he allows evil, so that we have a choice – between good and bad.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses.  Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make.  Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!  You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him.  This is the key to your life.

In this lifetime we must make our choice.  Evil and bad choices are abundantly around us.  When bad things occur, it was not God’s choice.  It was the consequence of a decision made by a man or woman.  However, it won’t always be like this.  The Bible promises an end to this fallen world. Romans 8:18-19   "Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. For all of creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are."

If you are reading this and feel convicted in your heart, that is God calling you.  Please say this prayer and ask for God to come into your life.

Dear Heavenly Father.  Thank you for calling me.  I chose you!  I believe that you sent your only son, Jesus Christ, into the world to become a living sacrifice for my sins.  He was born of a virgin, was crucified dead and buried, and on the third day he arose from the dead to sit at the right hand of God the Father.

I acknowledge that I am a sinner.  I repent of my sins.  I renounce the devil and all of his works.  I accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  I chose you, Jesus!  Please cut all ties and alignments with the devil that I have made knowingly or unknowingly in the past.  I declare myself free, and I realize that all of my sins have been washed away by the blood sacrifice of Jesus.  I am a new creation in Christ!  Amen.

Congratulations and welcome to the family!  This is just the beginning.  You must learn what it means to be a part of the family.  Your need to read your Bible and listen to Bible commentaries.  I highly recommend Chuck Missler.  You can easily find his commentaries on You Tube or at his organization: Khouse.org.  He has a book and video series called “Learn the Bible in 24 Hours,” or you can start with his video series on Genesis.

The Holy Bible is a supernatural book.  The Holy Spirit gives you understanding of its meanings.  Before you read the Bible, you should pray for the Holy Spirit to open his Word to your understanding.  As you learn about Jesus and develop of real understanding of what his death on the cross means for you, you will be filled with joy!  You will realize that all the shame, guilt, and sin of the past has truly been washed away.  You are a new person.  You stand in the light and love of Jesus Christ. You have a family who loves you.  You are a part of something good and bigger than yourself.
